On a windy Sunday morning, Strykers were asked to field by the Bhakta captain. Blues coming from a tough loss against Strykers Whites were looking to make reparations. Humad Choudhry was able to get one of the openers out pretty cheaply in his 2nd over and with Zeeshan Baig not giving anything to the batsmen on the other end, Blues were off to a fantastic start. Capitalizing on the great start ,Venkat came on and was unplayable, with the batsmen barely able to connect. He bowled 4 overs on the trot and ended with figures of 2/13. With the ball getting older, batsmen took their chances and were able to get some quick runs, but the introduction of Abdul and Umair brought the rate under control. Zeeshan Baig finished off the inning by taking two wickets in quick succession and ended with figures off 2/12 which included a maiden. Strykers Blues were set a tricky chase 126.
Blues didn’t have a great start to their batting, losing both their openers cheaply. But a partnership between Furqan and Gir Arjn brought the chase back on course with a partnership of 39 runs in short time which included 6 Fours and 2 Sixes before Furqan chopped one on to his stumps and ended with a score of 37 off 22 balls (5 fours, 2 sixes). With half of the score still to get, Gir Arjn and Haris crafted a partnership and knocked off the remaining runs without losing anymore wickets to take Strykers Blues home with 4.5 overs to spare. Gir Arjn finished unbeaten on 42 off 41 balls (4 fours , 1 six) and Haris scores 26 off 22 balls (4 fours).
